Dream!

Finding light.

Dreaming is the act of consciously writing your own future. While following your dreams is more rewarding in the end, it often is the rockier road to take. It is easier to go along avoiding your dreams by convincing yourself you are trapped or unable, but you are not. You are alive and everything you could ever want is at your fingertips, if only you would focus and decide in your mind you will.

Joshua Tree, CA

It's worth it, I keep telling myself.

The road may be rockier but the views are breathtaking and the journey is absolutely priceless!

However, we must be equipped and most importantly be wearing the right footwear while we tread. Listen to your intuition on this for we are all on our own paths, all with different terrains.
Mine says,     "No heels; you won't need vanity.
Sturdy; you will need the support.
Not to heavy; to weigh you down.
Not to dainty; with no protection.
Cruelty free materials; for good karma.
and ones which will weather the weather for this will                        be a long haul."

When you do find the right fit for the path you are on, your walk will surely be full of delight!

You may even be barefoot walking on the soft spring grass by then, but first you have to get there.

I will continue to adjust by trying different shoes and paths until one is the perfect match. I refuse to get stuck with uncomfortable shoes on a walk in the wrong direction.

I hope you will too. It makes for a more peaceful world when the people living in it are fulfilled. While we may be uncomfortable for a little while through our trial and error, it is all a learning process towards enlightenment. Also keep in mind that the journey never ends. There is always something else over the next horizon and always room to grow.

Following my dream sent me out California way. Lucky for me I had a few very special people join me along my journey!

Mama on the mountain!

Jet in a Strawberry field.

Jonny by the ocean.

Becca and the Boys in Los Angeles.

Najeeb on the cello.

Playing a set with Jonny at the Honey Comb Lounge in Venice. Now that is a big smile!

Sebestapol, CA

Sebestapol was my favorite town of all the ones we visited in California. There were sculptures all around the town and dogs driving tractors!

Tom Waits lives around there and Aunt Jet got word he shops at the Ace Hardware. She wants to go pick up an application, get a job there, and then just wait. I thought it was a great idea. It would be a wonderful place to live, just north of San Francisco in the heart of wine country, with only 5000 residents. I would like to live there one day also. We loved everyone there and had lunch at the delicious vegan restaurant Slice of Life. It was right next to Whole Foods, which was the only grocery store in town. There were lots of people out for the farmer's market and it was a beautiful day.

Jonny, Najeeb, and I enjoyed playing at Coffee Catz on a Sunday afternoon. I especially enjoyed playing the grand piano they have there. The same piano Tom may have played on many times before...... oh Tom, the piano had been drinking.
